This year at Music for Heroes, guitar player Michael Gurley of dada and actor Kiefer Sutherland of 24 shared the stage with their band ZZ Lightfoot to show support for the heroes who have served or serve our country everyday. The band performed some original songs as well as a mix of classic rock covers. At one point during the concert, Kiefer Sutherland began talking about the song he wrote after meeting a young homeless veteran called, I Can’t Cry Any More. Sutherland went on to say, “I know the government does what they can but a lot of these people who have done the all the heavy lifting for us tend to fall through the cracks. And when I come to a place like this and I see you all standing up for them, it makes my heart feel really good.”
